The method involves operating a heater system (10) when a temperature of water stored in a water tank (15) reaches or exceeds a limit temperature such that heating medium of burner circuits (12) is heated over the stored water. A burner (11) is switched off and conveying devices (16) of the burner circuits are switched on. One conveying device attached to a solar circuit is switched on when a difference between a temperature of heating medium of the solar circuit and the measured temperature of the water is larger than a limit value. An independent claim is also included for a heater system with a burner. |
