Provided are a multi-layered aquaponics system and an aquaponics method for indoor vertical farming. The aquaponics system comprises: (1) a fish tank (108), (2) a submerged pump (100), (3) water supply pipes for culturing beds (101), (4) culturing beds (109), (5) bell siphons (103), (6) vertical pipes (102), (7) a drain pipe (104), (8) an upper layer drain pipe (105), (9) a lowermost layer drain pipe (106), and (10) LED plant culturing promoting lamps (107) attached to each layer of the culturing beds. The aquaponics method of the multi-layer aquaponics system includes a step of draining water from the fish tank positioned at the lowermost height to each layer of the plant culturing beds by using the submerged pump through the water supply pipes. In the multi-layer aquaponics system, water is automatically drained into the drain pipe to be circulated into the fish tank when the water is filled up to the height of the vertical pipe of the bell siphon in a specific culturing bed; and the strong water flow using at least one bell siphon inside the vertical structure supplies suitable air into the fish tank so that the aquaponics system can save power of the air supply system, thereby not releasing carbons. |
