A water wheel impeller blade type electric power generating apparatus comprises a rotor shaft 4 to transmit motive force to a power generator 30. A rotor secured to the rotor shaft has a hollow drum body coaxial with the rotor shaft and two side plates each fixed to a respective axial end of the drum body. A plurality of impeller blades on the outer periphery of the rotor are pivotable relative to the outer periphery of said rotor and serve to rotate the rotor by receiving a flow of fluid. The drum body 2 is provided with openings for allowing fluid to flow therein, and a hollow hermetically sealed structure 51 is disposed within the rotor and connected to the rotor shaft for developing a buoyancy force. Each impeller blade may have a stopper part and a fluid receiving part. |
