The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recycling a contaminated ionic liquid, to easily recycle a large quantity of contaminated ionic liquid. The apparatus for recycling a contaminated ionic liquid comprises: a physical separation unit for removing physical impurities included in an ionic liquid which has been contaminated when used in purification of conductive organic materials; an intermediate inspection unit which inspects whether first characteristic information of a first ionic liquid is within an acceptable range of first characteristic information of an initial ionic liquid by comparing the first characteristic information of the first ionic liquid which has passed through the physical separation unit with the first characteristic information of the initial ionic liquid before contaminated; a chemical separation unit into which the first ionic liquid is introduced if the first characteristic information of the first ionic liquid is within the acceptable range of the first characteristic information of the initial ionic liquid, and which is configured to remove chemical impurities included in the first ionic liquid; and a final inspection unit which inspects whether final characteristic information of a second ionic liquid is within an acceptable range of final characteristic information of the initial ionic liquid by comparing the final characteristic information of the second ionic liquid which has passed through the chemical separation unit with the final characteristic information of the initial ionic liquid. |
