POLY(CYCLOHEXYLENEDIMETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE) HAVING IMPROVED CRYSTALLIZATION RATE AND THE METHOD MANUFACTURING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a poly(cyclohexylenedimethylene phthalate) resin (PCT resin) having an improved crystallization rate and a method for preparing the same. The PCT resin comprises: a reaction product of (A) a dicarboxylic acid compound or dicarboxylic acid ester compound woth (B) a diol compound including cyclohexane dimethanol in an amount of 90 mol% or more based on the total diol compounds; and 10-1000 ppm of antimony (Sb) atom based on the weight of the resin, and has a difference between the melting point (Tm) and the cool-down crystallization temperature of 45°C or less. The PCT resin has a high crystallization rate and thus can produce various molded products at a high production rate. Particularly, the PCT resin has a high crystallization temperature and high heat resistance, and thus can produce high-quality heat resistant molded products by using an injection molding process at a high rate.
