Disclosed is an image matching method capable of resolving the existing issue of deterioration in image matching accuracy depending on the panning, tilting, and zooming state of a stereo camera. The method includes a step (a) to a step (e). In the step (a), a first reference image is obtained as a first camera takes images of a reference recording target at a reference distance. In the step (b), a second reference image is obtained as a second camera takes images of the reference recording target. In the step (c), reference coordinate differences which are differences of the coordinates of each pixel of the second reference image from the coordinates of each pixel of the first reference image are obtained. In the step (d), matching errors of parallax according to the distance of a recording target to be applied are obtained. In the step (e), the matching result is obtained for the recording target to be applied using the reference coordinate differences, and the matching result is corrected using the matching errors of parallax. |
