APPARATUS AND METHOD PURIFYING CONTAMINATED SOILS

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for purifying contaminated soil which apply a drum type separator and a principle of floatation when separating soil contaminated by oil into oil contaminants, coarse grained soil, and very fine soil, thereby improving a separation efficiency. The apparatus for purifying contaminated soil comprises: a soil pulverizing device which pulverizes soil lumps contaminated by oil by using a cleansing solution; a soil separating reactor which provides a reaction space wherein the contaminated soil is separated into the oil contaminants, coarse grained soil, and very fine soil; a drum type separator which is provided in the soil separating reactor to be inclined from the horizontal so as to be rotated around a shaft, and separates the contaminated soil into the coarse grained soil and very fine soil; a bubbling injection device which is provided at a lower portion of the drum type separator to perform floatation on the oil contaminants by injecting bubbles into the drum type separator; and a cleansing solution circulation apparatus which is provided at a lower portion of the drum type separator to promote floatation of the very fine soil by circulating the cleansing solution.
