Provided are a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display and a light-shielding mask used for the same, which can ameliorate an afterimage and a stain at an edge of a liquid crystal display panel. The light-shielding mask includes: a light-shielding type body including a first region and a second region surrounding the first region; and a slit formed in the second region.
