The present invention relates to a preheating device and an installation method thereof. A preheating device preheating an object to be welded before welding comprises: a main gas pipe supplying combustion gas; and a plurality of spray pipes provided on the main gas pipe. As such, the preheating device is installed to be spaced from a welding portion of the object to be welded, and heats a preheating portion opposite to the welding portion. According to the present invention, the preheating device is able to be installed in a plurality of places of an external side spaced from an object to be welded, and in spite of a spaced distance, an enough preheating temperature is able to be secured to a improve welding performance. Moreover, a welding worker and the preheating device are placed in an opposite side to improve a work convenience of the worker.
