Disclosed are a wireless power transmission system for an electric vehicle and a method thereof. The wireless power transmission system for an electric vehicle according to an embodiment may include an inverter which transmits input power, a power transmission device which generates a magnetic field by receiving the input power, a current collection device which collects the input power induced by the magnetic field and supplies it to an electric vehicle, and a feedback part which transmits basic information for controlling output power to the inverter. The inverter uses the basic information for controlling the output power received from the feedback part to correct or maintain the input power.
