According to a variety of embodiments of the present invention, a portable audio output apparatus comprises: an audio output module configured to be in contact with the body of a user and to output an audio signal; and a body fat sensor configured to sense a body resistance value of the user by using at least four body contact nodes. At least two of the nodes are placed at a portion of an outer surface of the audio output apparatus which is not in contact with the body if the user wears the audio output apparatus. Therefore, the portable audio output apparatus can measure a body fat rate without time and space limits.
