The present invention is to disclose an apparatus and a method for controlling a traffic safety sign mounted on the trunk door of a vehicle. According to the present invention, when collision of a vehicle is detected, a trunk door (a hood of the front of the vehicle) or of the vehicle is automatically opened, a traffic safety sign mounted in advance on the trunk door (or the hood of the front of the vehicle) is outspread, a lane direction to avoiding the lane in which vehicle collision occurs is detected, an arrow guiding the detected lane direction is automatically displayed on the traffic safety sign, and thus vehicles in the area can rapidly and safely avoid the vehicle accident lane. |
