Disclosed is a drive method of a radiation detection apparatus which applies a variable voltage. The drive method of a radiation detection apparatus comprises: a waiting step where radiation is not emitted to a radiation detection apparatus; and an emission step where radiation is emitted. Different voltages are applied in the waiting step and the emission step. The absolute value of the voltage applied in the waiting step is smaller than the absolute value of the voltage applied in the emission step, and is determined to minimize a dark current which can be produced in a photoconductive layer of the radiation detection apparatus in the waiting step.
