The present invention relates to a real time object region detection method robust to a vehicle′s headlight, and an apparatus thereof. The real time object region detection method robust to the vehicle′s headlight comprises: a step of enabling a control unit to generate a binary image after modeling an image, input through a camera, using a Gaussian mixture modeling technique; a step of primarily extracting an object candidate blob from the binary image; a step of generating a histogram of a differential image from the primarily extracted blob; a step of extracting a secondary blob by dividing the primarily extracted blob into two regions by performing clustering based on the histogram; a step of computing a similarity between the extracted secondary blob and a background; and a step of determining the secondary blob, having the similarity less than or equal to a preset threshold, as an object region. |
