The present invention relates to a receiver and a beam space sampling method for the same, which can determine an optimal beam direction in which multiplexing gain can be maximized in a sampled rotating antenna (SRA) method. The beam space sampling method for a receiver, which includes an antenna including a single active element and at least one parasitic element, according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving wireless signals, corresponding to omni-directional beam patterns in which the antenna can be set, by varying a reactance value of the parasitic element; measuring signal qualities of the received signals corresponding to the respective beam patterns; and selecting a beam pattern corresponding to a received signal having a signal quality equal to or a larger than a threshold value. |
