<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety elevator capable of performing failure detection and improving safety and reliability while achieving a multifunction of a position detection sensor of a riding car. <P>SOLUTION: The safety elevator includes: a position detection sensor 4 which outputs output patterns by a plurality of outputs in accordance with the vertical movement position of the riding car 100; a positional data base 23 for storing a specified output pattern corresponding to a specified position in an elevating and lowering direction; a riding car positional data part 22 which stores positional data every time the output pattern by means of the position detection sensor 4 is changed; and a transitional data base 24 in which the specified output pattern expected in accordance with the specified position is stored as the transition predicted data where, when the riding car 100 arrives at the specified position and the specified output pattern does not coincide with any of the transition predicted data, the safety elevator is decided as a failure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
