摘要 The present invention relates to a method for controlling an engine start of a hybrid vehicle. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the method for controlling the engine start of the hybrid vehicle, which drives in one among an electric vehicle (EV) mode, a power split mode, and an over drive (OD) mode (parallel mode) capable of preventing vibration unpleasant to a driver by damping the engine starting torque of a generator using the reaction torque of a motor in order to prevent the engine starting torque of the generator from being transmitted to wheels when an engine starts while the vehicle stops (P gear, N gear). To this end, the present invention, in the method of controlling the engine start when the hybrid vehicle with the engine, the motor, and the generator is in the P gear, includes: a step of maximizing the reaction torque of the motor during a first threshold time when engine starting conditions are satisfied; a step of generating the engine starting torque and outputting the reaction torque of the motor by turning on the generator when the reaction torque is increased up to a threshold value (threshold value < maximum reaction torque); a step of removing the engine starting torque by turning off the generator when the engine starts and eliminating the reaction torque of the motor during a second threshold time; and a step of controlling an engine speed.
