The invention relates to petrochemistry, in particular, to production of resin-free naftalan oil, and can be used for treatment of dermal, neurological, surgical, gynaecological, urological and other diseases. The objective of the invention is higher efficiency of the resin-free naftalan production method, lower adsorbent consumption, higher yield of active naphthene hydrocarbons, environment improvement, and utilisation, among others, of naftalan oil wastes. The objective is achieved by a method wherein crude naftalan oil heated to 150°C is subjected to diffusion distillation under vacuum by passing dry steam heated to 230°C, followed by adsorption cleaning of the produced 190-220°C naphthene fraction by silica gel, with the ratio of the naphthene fraction to the adsorbent of 1:0.12 by weight, at a cleaning temperature of 60°C.
