Disclosed is a roasting oven comprising at least one oven chamber (1) and at least one heating element cavity. Wherein the heat element cavity is external to but communicating with the oven chamber. The oven comprises a plurality of air inlets (14) for allowing heated air from the cavity into the oven chamber, and at least one outlet (12) for allowing air from the oven chamber into the cavity. The oven chamber comprises a plurality of heating levels, wherein items to be cooked are placed on each level. The plurality of air inlets correspond to the plurality of heating levels. The oven further comprises an air distributor (10), corresponding to each air inlet. Each air distributor circulates air from the heating cavity to the oven chamber. The air distributor may comprise a plurality of fans. The oven may comprise a supply of water to the oven chamber, wherein the water may be turned into steam to adjust the humidity of the chamber. The oven may comprise a rotatable item holder rack (8, 9) for supporting items to be roasted. |
