PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF INHALATIONAL LIPOSOMAL FORM OF RIFABUTIN

The invention relates to pharmaceutics, in particular to preparing liposomes, containing antibiotic rifabutin, for inhalational administration in the treatment of tuberculosis. The method includes producing a composition of phospholipids and rifabutin, drying the mixture, its emulsification in water medium, dispersion of the emulsion, homogenisation, fractional addition of cryoprotector, sterilising filtration and freeze-drying. The method makes it possible to achieve standardness and stability of rifabutin-containing liposomes (size of liposomes is within narrow range), high rifabutin encapsulation into liposomes, rifabutin stability during storage and reduced toxic effect of liposomal rifabutin (in particular, more than 3 times as compared to non-liposomal analogue).
