The present invention relates to a hydroelectric power generation system which uses a water drop of a dammed pool of a river or a stream to generate power, and more specifically, to a hydroelectric power generation system which increases a flow rate when water drops to efficiently generate power. The hydroelectric power generation system comprises: a water receiver (10) of a pipe shape having a prescribed length to be installed in a longitudinal direction of a dammed pool of a river or a stream in contact with a downstream wall of the dammed pool, wherein an upper end thereof is opened to accommodate water falling from the dammed pool; a waterway (30) connected to an end of one side of the water receiver and installed along an edge of the river or the stream to allow the water accommodated in the water receiver to flow; one or a plurality of water turbines (40) installed on the water way to be rotated by the flowing water; and a power generation device (50) connected to the shafts of the water turbines to convert rotational energy into electric energy.
