The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal comprises: a touch screen; and a control unit which displays a floating icon, to which data sharing setting information including sharing target data and a sharing address are input, on an uppermost layer of the touch screen when preset user input is received, and which transmits the sharing target data to the sharing address according to the data sharing setting information input via the floating icon. Using this, when sharing data on the mobile terminal, a plurality of menus required to share the data are provided in the form of a floating type without switching a currently displayed screen, and thus the data can be shared with a plurality of counterparts on the currently displayed screen without a separate menu selection procedure or a screen change procedure. |
