PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle display device for displaying a highly-attractive pointer instrument image while ensuring low processing load.SOLUTION: A vehicle display device comprises: a display which displays an image; and control means which controls an instrument image that has a pointer image movable along an indication track and a scale graphic indicated on the pointer image to be displayed on the display, and comprises storage means which stores reference pointer images 16, 17 and 18 obtained by reflecting the influence of light from a virtual light source L in the pointer image at arbitrary points on the indication track and corresponding to at least two points on the indication track, the control means generating the pointer image by interpolation and/or extrapolation based on the reference pointer images 16, 17 and 18 at positions other than the respective points on the indication track corresponding to the reference pointer images 16, 17 and 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
