Method for creating a complementary substream as a complement of an existing substream in a multi-link network connection using a transport protocol adapted to a multi-link communication mode. The multi-link network connection is implemented in a network comprising a source using said multi-link network connection to communicate with a receiver via an intermediate network component. Following the opening of an intermediate communication link between the intermediate network component and the receiver, said intermediate network component implements the following steps: obtain (502) a packet destined for the source; create (501) a header representative of a request to create said complementary substream of data packets, the complementary substream of data packets being intended to use the intermediate communication link; insert (502) said header into said packet; and transmit (502) said packet to the source in such a way as to cause the running, by the source, of a procedure for creating said complementary substream of data packets. |
