A living body photographing apparatus according to the present invention is provided with: a mounting means for supporting a living body; a photographing means for capturing an image of the living body; and a determining means for determining whether the living body is mounted on the mounting means on the basis of whether the features of the living body change in the image at a point at which the mounting means and the living body contact each other. The present invention, when the features of the living body are photographed in order to be used for personal authentication, is intended to enable the features of the living body to be photographed at a proper timing while improving the degree of authenticating precision on the basis of the photographed features of the living body. |
