PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which the assembly accuracy of a discharge path opening/closing member for preventing a developer from being discharged despite the fact that the amount of the developer in the device does not increase can be lower than before and to provide an image forming apparatus including the developing device.SOLUTION: A developing device 4 includes a developing roller 5 and a supply screw 8 for conveying the developer in a supply conveyance path 9. A developer discharge port 94 is provided at the predetermined height of a partition wall 135 forming the supply conveyance path 9. The developing device 4 includes a discharge path opening/closing member 140 which can selectively take a closing state for closing a discharge path 96 through which the developer going toward the developer discharge port 94 from the inside of the supply conveyance path 9 passes and an opening state for opening the discharge path 96 by rocking one end around the other end. In the closing state, the other end side of the discharge path opening/closing member 140 enters the developer discharge port 94 and the undersurface of the discharge path opening/closing member 140 comes into contact with the lower end part of the developer discharge port 94 in the partition wall 135.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
