PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an enormous number of pieces of information from being notified to a user when update of a map database is completed.SOLUTION: A navigation device 2 is configured so that, a storage part 25 stores a map database 25a including map element data. A data update part 20b acquires update data for updating the map database 25a from a server device 1 via a network 9, then updates the map database 25a using the update data. Then a user notification part 20c notifies a user of only information of an element related to a user's house position, out of elements related to the map elements updated by the update data, when update of the map database 25a is completed. Therefore, when update of the map database 25a is completed, an enormous number of pieces of information are prevented from being notified to a user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
