An elevator system that can improve transport efficiency comprises: a low zone elevator car (4); a high zone elevator car (5); a first calculating unit (11) that calculates a first required time (t1) for one low zone elevator car (4) to arrive at one transfer level (3) after stopping at a boarding level for each route comprising a combination of one low zone elevator car (4), one transfer level (3), and one high zone elevator car (5) when a level contained in a high zone (2) is registered as the destination level using a destination level registering device (8) provided on the boarding floor that is contained in a low zone (1); a second calculating unit (12) that calculates a second required time (t2) for one high zone elevator car (5) to reach the one transfer level (3) for each route; an evaluating unit (13) that calculates a value obtained by subtracting the second required time (t2) from the first required time (t2) as an evaluation value for each route; and a selecting unit (14) that selects, from among the routes, the route that has an evaluation value that is at least zero and is the smallest. |
