The subscriber station (20; 30) comprises a control unit (12; 34) for controlling an access of the subscriber station (10; 30) by means of a first bus system to a bus (50) of a second bus system of the communication system (1), wherein the first bus system is designed for a communication in which exclusive, collision-free access of one of at least two subscriber stations (10, 20, 30) of the communication system (1) to a bus (40) of the first bus system is guaranteed at least at times, and wherein the bus (50) of the second bus system has at least two channels (K1, K2 to KNHF), by means of which messages (51, 53) of the at least two subscriber stations (10, 30) of the communication system (1) can be transmitted independently of each other in respect of time in separate frequency ranges.
