A system and method for improved active land streamers is disclosed. A land streamer system includes a piezoelectric module having an opening that extends through the piezoelectric module. The land streamer system also includes a power cable configured to traverse the opening. The power cable includes a plurality of sub-cables, and a first sub-cable of the plurality of sub-cables is configured to be connected to the piezoelectric module. The land streamer system also includes a computing system configured to provide an electrical signal to the piezoelectric module via the plurality of sub-cables.
