If, when using a stepping motor as a drive source for a shutter device, the stepping motor missteps as a result of load variation, etc., during driving, a drive ring can no longer be rotated and driven at that point, and an exposure operation can no longer be performed. Provided are a shutter device and an imaging device comprising said shutter device, whereby: a motor drives a member to be driven, using an open loop drive mode, in a first interval in which a light-shielding member maintains a closed or open state even if the member to be driven is driven; and, as a result of the member to be driven being driven, the motor drives the member to be driven, using a feedback drive mode, during a second interval in which the light-shielding member moves from the closed state to the open state or from the open state to the closed state. |
