The present invention relates to a vertical gas-pressure metal casting machine having a molten metal storage furnace (2) for a molten metal store (3), having a casting mould (6), in which casting mould (6) at least one mould impression (5) is provided, having at least one riser duct (4) which, for filling, connects the molten metal storage furnace (3) to the at least one mould impression (5) of the casting mould (6) and which (4) leads into the at least one mould impression (5) via a sprue opening (8), and having a closing piston (9) which (9) is movable relative to the casting mould (6) between an open position and a closed position closing the sprue opening (8), wherein the molten metal storage furnace (2) is connected to a gas source (12) via at least one gas line (11). The vertical gas-pressure metal casting machine (1) according to the invention is characterized in that the casting mould (6) has at least one molten metal storage cavity (27, 28) which is provided to receive a molten metal stock that is under pressure in the closed position of the closing piston (9), and which (27, 28) is connected to the at least one mould impression (5) of the casting mould (6) (cf. figure 1). |
