A traffic diversion method and system for a level crossing (1). A combination scheme of diversified implementation modes of left steering (and/or straight running) of vehicles (6, 61, 62) is adopted, so that the highly-gathering state of the vehicles (6, 61, 62) at the crossing (1) is alleviated and eliminated, and the trafficability of the level crossing (1) is improved. A transition zone (3) is arranged, the shape, the position, the direction and the running rule of the transition zone (3) are designed so that vehicles (61, 62), especially small vehicles (61, 62) can turn around smoothly, change the lane unhinderedly, and steer at the crossing (1), and accordingly, the number of waiting vehicles (6, 61, 62) at the crossing (1) is reduced, and the waiting time is shortened. The traffic pressure at the crossing (1) is relieved by diverting the vehicles (6, 61, 62). Moreover, technical means such as control by a signal lamp (5) and arranging of an avoiding zone (41, 42) are adopted, so that traffic conditions are further optimized, and overall operation efficiency and trafficability of the vehicles (6, 61, 62) are improved. |
