PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set different deformation modes without complicatedly combining reinforcing steel plates.SOLUTION: An outer panel constituting a center pillar and a reinforcement joined to an inner surface of the outer panel are joined in a state that a pre-molded panel steel plate 11' and a pre-molded patch steel plate 13' are joined to each other, a lower region A is welded along a plurality of horizontal weld lines Wp extending to substantially-horizontal directions, and on the other hand, a middle upper region B is welded along a plurality of vertical weld lines Wt extending to substantially-vertical directions. Then, by press-molding both the integrated steel plates 11' 13', the outer panel which is joined with the reinforcement at its internal face is formed. The lower region A and the middle upper region B of the reinforcement are set to different deformation modes by being welded and hardened on the horizontal weld line Wp and the vertical weld line Wt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
