PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel channel box capable of reducing the corrosion of a clip weld zone irrespectively of the thickness of the fuel channel box.SOLUTION: A fuel channel box 50C of a square cylindrical tube shape is formed by forming Zircaloy plates 50A each to have a U-shaped cross section and welding two Zircaloy plates 50B each formed into a U-shape. A manufacturing method comprises: a step of inserting a cooling positioning jig 54A into one corner section of the fuel channel box 50C of the square cylindrical tube shape formed by welding the two plates formed into the U-shape; a step of mounting and positioning a clip 51A thinner than the fuel channel box 50C in one corner section in contact with the cooling positioning jig 54A; and a step of joining the positioned clip 51A to the fuel channel box 50C by welding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
