PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a transport failure of a medium in association with elimination of static electricity of liquid while eliminating the static electricity of the liquid with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises: transportation sections 18 and 19 transporting a medium P; a discharge section 12 being provided to a movement section 11 movable in an intersection direction B intersecting with a transportation direction A of the medium P by the transportation sections 18 and 19 and discharging liquid onto the medium P transported by the transportation sections 18 and 19; a first static electricity elimination section 9 being provided to the movement section 11 and eliminating static electricity of the liquid; and a second static electricity elimination section 10 being provided to the movement section 11 and eliminating static electricity of the medium P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
