PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator capable of stably accelerating the rotational speed of a rotor while enhancing detent torque more than the conventional configuration.SOLUTION: There is provided an electromagnetic actuator comprising a rotor (51) including a driving pin (51d), a coil (55) for excitation, and yokes (52 to 54) including approximately linearly formed first arms (52a to 54a) and second arms (52b to 54b) formed so as to bend. The first arms (52a to 54a) include first magnetic pole parts (52a' to 54a') having a first circular surface. The second arms (52b to 54b) include second magnetic pole parts (52b' to 54b') having a second circular surface. The first circular surface has the center of a circle common to the second circular surface. The distance between the first circular surface and the rotor is shorter than the distance between the second circular surface and the rotor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
