PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for preventing segregation of a binder when a negative electrode paste layer is dried without making a drying time of the negative electrode paste layer long.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a negative electrode includes steps of: coating on a surface of a negative electrode collector a negative electrode paste containing a negative electrode active material, a thickener, and a binder; and drying the negative electrode paste layer formed by the negative electrode paste being coated on a surface of the negative electrode collector so as to satisfy the Formula 1 below.
