The invention relates to a casing (1) for a traction motor of a motor vehicle including: - longitudinal walls (2) defining a longitudinally extending recess (3) for receiving a stator and a rotor of the motor; - at least one bearing (5) for supporting an axle (4) of the rotor, said axle longitudinally extending into the recess; and - at least one base wall (6) extending between an end edge (13) of the longitudinal walls and the bearing, wherein the base wall defines ribs (7) extending along a radial component up to the bearing. Said casing is characterized in that the base wall is rounded between the end edge of the longitudinal walls and the bearing. |
