The invention relates to a light module (7) of an illumination device (2) of a motor vehicle for generating a resulting light distribution (28; 34). The light module (7) has one or more laser light sources (10; 10', 10") for emitting at least one beam (12', 12") of laser light, a movable beam steering apparatus (16) arranged in the beam path, which beam steering apparatus (16) is configured to deflect at least one beam (12', 12") and vary the primary beam direction (14', 14") thereof. In order to easily generate the desired light distribution (28; 34), it is proposed that the at least one laser light source (10; 10', 10") generates at least two beams (12', 12") which hit the beam steering apparatus (16) from different primary beam directions (14', 14"), that the beam steering apparatus (16) can be moved back and forth between two reversal points (16a, 16b), and that at least one of the deflected beams (22', 22") generated at a time in which the beam steering apparatus (16) is in one of the reversal points (16a, 16b) thereof illuminates an area (35) of the resulting light distribution (28; 34) with a higher intensity than in other areas (37) of the light distribution (28; 34). |
