PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing resin fine particles in which functional polymers uniformly coexist and that have an average particle size of 500 nm or less; and functional polymer coexisting resin fine particles.SOLUTION: A method for producing functional polymer coexisting resin fine particles is a method for producing resin fine particles in which functional polymers uniformly coexist and that have an average particle size of 500 nm or less and includes: a step of dissolving or dispersing a functional polymer and a polymerization initiator in a monomer and preparing a monomer mixed liquid; a step of adding the monomer mixed liquid to an aqueous medium in which a surfactant and a dispersant are dissolved and stirring the monomer mixed liquid, and thereby preparing a suspension in which a droplet of the monomer mixed liquid is dispersed in the aqueous medium; and a step of polymerizing the droplet of the monomer mixed liquid. An aqueous medium is used in which straight chain sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate is dissolved in the monomer so that the concentration of the straight chain sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate becomes 0.5 pt.wt. or more with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the monomer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
