PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a malfunction which is generated by the slide contact of rollers when forming a nip once again after removing a jammed sheet, in a pair of transfer rollers.SOLUTION: In a pair of transfer rollers which are constituted of a drive roller 11 being a first roller which can turn with a turning pivot 12f as a center in parallel with a sheet transfer direction at the outside of an installation end part of the roller on an axial line of the drive roller 11, and a driven roller 12 being a second roller which can turn in a direction in which the driven roller contacts with or separates from the drive roller, there is arranged a rolling contact mechanism 40 which makes the drive roller 11 and the driven roller 12 contact with each other by rolling contact while rotating at least either of the rollers in conjunction with a turning motion of the driven roller 12 when returning the driven roller 12 which is moved to a remote position at the release of jam to a nip position for forming a nip with the drive roller 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
