The present invention provides: a sheet-like article in which a polyurethane resin having an oxycarbonyl group and a carbonate group as ester groups is applied so as to have uniform and elegant surface quality, texture having flexibility and excellent crease recovery, and excellent light resistance and hydrolysis resistance; and a method for manufacturing the same. This sheet-like article is a sheet-like article in which a polyurethane resin satisfying the following requirements (I) and (II) is applied as a binder to a fibrous base material comprising ultrafine fibers: (I) a polyurethane resin having an oxycarbonyl group and a carbonate group as ester groups within the polyurethane resin; and (II) a polyurethane resin in which the sum of the contents of a urethane group and a urea group in the polyurethane resin is 7.0-11.0 mass%.
