[Problem] To provide an authenticity certification system that can certify the authenticity of created digital image data while ensuring fairness, trustworthiness, and credibility. [Solution] A digital camera 30a: calculates a certification hash value for digital image data; transmits the certification hash value to a server 31; and, when requesting that the server 31 certify the authenticity of the digital image data, transmits, to the server 31, the digital image data to be subjected to authenticity certification. The server 31: stores the certification hash value transmitted from the digital camera 30a; and, when the digital camera 30a requests the certification of the authenticity of the digital image data, calculates a verification hash value for the digital image data being subjected to the authenticity certification, compares the certification hash value and the verification hash value, and confirms the authenticity of the digital image data if the hash values match, and denies the authenticity of the digital image data if the hash values do not match. |
