Provided are a video conversion method and system, which are applicable to the field of video playing. The method includes the following steps: receiving a multiplex program transport stream, and converting the multiplex program transport stream into a plurality of simplex program transport streams; allocating a uniform resource locator for each simplex program transport stream; and transmitting, according to a program playing request, the corresponding simplex program transport streams to a video player through the uniform resource locator for playing. In the embodiments of the present invention, a uniform resource locator is allocated for each program transport stream in a video converter, and then a video is played by the video player, so that an Android system does not need to be modified, and the TSs can be played via a local playing interface and a mobile video terminal device, thereby reducing implementation costs and providing an excellent playing quality and internet experience for users. |
