Separable carton and carton blank

A carton for packaging articles is separable into smaller units. The carton includes a top wall having a severance line, a first series of interconnected primary panels hingedly connected to the first top panel portion for defining a first tubular structure, and a second series of interconnected primary panels hingedly connected to the second top panel portion for defining a second tubular structure. The first and second series include first and second bottom panels respectively. The carton further includes first and second bottom end flaps hingedly connected to the first and second bottom panels respectively. The first and second bottom end flaps are not integrally connected directly with one another but joined together by a connecting member secured in face contacting arrangement to at least one of the first and second bottom end flaps.
