PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device capable of stably preventing temperature rise of a paper non-passage part of a flexible belt member for a long time and preventing high temperature offset and uneven gloss.SOLUTION: The invention relates to at least a film 33 which is a flexible belt member between the flexible belt member and a pressure roller 32. An image heating device includes: a cooling fan 41 which is blowing means sends a current of air in order to cool a paper non-passage part in a direction intersecting with a conveyance direction of recording material; and control means for controlling the blowing means such that according to use history of the flexible belt member, a quantity of the current of air increases as thickness of the flexible belt member decreases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
