SOLUTION: A cut, slash, and/or abrasion resistant fabric is provided having both high cut resistance and light fabric weight, preferably a cut resistance of at least 500 (as measured by ASTM-F1790-04) and a fabric weight of 27.9 ounces/square yard (OPSY) or less, which can be prepared, if desired, by shaped knitting into a shaped fabric panel, which is used to prepare cut, slash, and/or abrasion resistant garments or coverings.EFFECT: A cut, slash, and/or abrasion resistant fabric is provided by panel preparation using the aforementioned means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
