PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device, a mode shifting method, and a program that suppress consumption power.SOLUTION: A reception part 10 receives an external request from an external device such as a PC 2. An information acquisition part 11 acquires a port number to be used, and an amount of information of the external request itself from the received external request. A port determination part 120 determines whether or not the acquired port number of the external request is a port number included in a port management table stored in a storage part 15. An information determination part 121 determines whether or not the acquired amount of information of the external request is a threshold associated with the port number of the external request or more. A system control part 13 determines that the received external request is the information related to printing, and has the amount of information that cannot be processed by an energy saving mode, and shifts an operation mode to a normal mode from the energy saving mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
