PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin piece selection method and a resin piece selection device that are used for selecting a recyclable resin piece from among mixed crushed pieces including various kinds of materials at high speed.SOLUTION: This selection method includes: an X-ray inspection step of exposing a resin piece to an X-ray which includes a first X-ray and a second X-ray differing in an energy range, and then measuring first penetration intensity being intensity of the first X-ray penetrating the resin piece and second penetration intensity being intensity of the second X-ray penetrating the resin piece; a first determination step of using the first penetration intensity to determine whether or not the resin piece is a candidate for a useful resin piece; a second determination step of using a difference value obtained from the first penetration intensity and the second penetration intensity to determine whether or not the resin piece determined to be the candidate for the useful resin piece is the useful resin piece by the first determination step; and a collection step of collecting the resin piece determined to be useful on the basis of a determination result in the second determination step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
